The role

Runflow is the AI image and video infrastructure layer for the builders shipping production AI experiences. There is a wave of creators, indie hackers, agencies, and small teams figuring out what's now possible with a real generative-media stack underneath them. We want them to find us, try it, ship something, and tell their network.

We're hiring a DevRel Engineer to make that happen. Build the templates and demos that show what's possible. Run the hackathons. Ship daily on Reddit, X, and Discord. Find the creators doing the most interesting work and bring them in.

If you ship publicly already, can build a working prototype solo over a weekend, write well, talk well on camera, and treat audience-building as a craft rather than spam, this is for you.

Representative projects

What you'd ship in your first 6 months.

Concrete, shippable, on the live roadmap. Not hypothetical. We expect every one of these to land.

Project 01

Ship a library of opinionated templates that show off what Runflow can do

ComfyUI workflows, code starters, demo apps. The kind of templates a creator forks on a Sunday and ships a product on Wednesday. Every one of them lives publicly and is talkable on social.

Project 02

Run a Runflow hackathon that puts us on the map

Real prizes, real evaluators, real demos at the end. Pre-build the on-ramps so 80% of teams ship something. Get the writeups, get the cross-posts, get the creators we want to work with into the orbit.

Project 03

Build a daily-shipping cadence on the channels where creators actually live

Reddit, X, Discord. A demo, a thread, a workflow. Daily, not weekly. The compounding effect is the whole game; one viral thing a quarter is the wrong target.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing.

You'll own the full lifecycle, from prototype to production at scale.

Build templates, demos, and prototypes that show what Runflow makes possible

Ship daily on Reddit, X / Twitter, and Discord, the channels where creators live

Run hackathons, creator events, and the supporting comms / prizes / on-ramps

Find the creators doing the most interesting work, bring them into the Runflow orbit

Write the launch posts, the announcements, the changelogs, the demo walkthroughs

Make the launch assets, screenshots, gifs, video walkthroughs, that get the work shared

Bring the field's signal back into the team, what builders ask for, what frustrates them, what they wish existed

Use AI tools fluently, you're shipping fast on your own without an engineering team behind you

Requirements

About you.

You may be a good fit if…

  • You ship publicly and have an audience to show for it (X, Reddit, YouTube, GitHub stars, Substack, anything)
  • You can build a working prototype solo over a weekend, you don't need eng help to ship a demo
  • You have a feel for what makes things resonate, what makes people share, what makes them try
  • You write well, posts and threads come naturally, you don't need a marketer to ghostwrite for you
  • You're AI-native, Claude Code / Cursor / ComfyUI in your daily flow, not 'tried it once'
  • You treat community as a craft, not a megaphone, you actually engage with what people make

Strong candidates also have…

  • Have run a successful hackathon (you've seen what good organisation looks like vs. what bombs)
  • Have shipped an OSS project that found real users
  • Have grown a Reddit / X / YouTube presence intentionally and can articulate the playbook
  • Have built ComfyUI workflows or generative-AI demos that went viral
  • Have prior DevRel / community / founding-engineer experience at an infra or dev-tool company
  • Comfortable on camera, can edit a Loom into something tight, or have a YouTube presence to show for it (genuinely nice-to-have, not required)

What we're not looking for

A specific number of years. A specific degree. A specific stack. We hire on whether you can ship end-to-end and whether you have taste. Everything else is noise.

A hackathon you ran, a community event you organised, a creator program you built
Something you shipped this week that you're proud of, even if it's small
