You send a target image plus a reference garment with the correct collar construction, and the API rewrites the upper-chest region with stitch-line accuracy and proper symmetry.

Does it work on layered garments?

Yes, with caveats. Layered garments (collar over a tee, blazer over a shirt) work when the reference shows a similar layering arrangement. Heavy occlusion can require a closer-matched reference image.

How is this different from a generic inpainting model?

Generic inpainting hallucinates a plausible neckline. Neckline & Collar Fix takes a reference garment and forces the rewrite to match its construction, stitch line, and symmetry.
